Earthwork

Our own machines and our own crews. Access built for the ground it crosses, and the dirt work that has to happen before anything else can.

Roads & driveways

Most rural approaches are steep, long, washed out, or all three. That's the normal job here.

  • New driveways and access roads
  • Road base, gravel and surfacing
  • Chip seal and asphalt
  • Culverts, ditching and drainage
  • Grading, reshaping and washout repair

Excavation & site prep

Foundations, pads and the shaping that decides where water goes for the next thirty years.

  • Foundations, grading, fill and compaction
  • Building pads and lot clearing
  • Water, gas and power line trenching
  • French drains, culverts and retention basins
  • Boulder and retaining walls
  • Ponds, landscaping and water features

Worth knowing

Drainage decides how long a road lasts

A lot of rural driveways are built wrong — not enough base, no crown, and nowhere for the water to go. Water running down a road instead of off it will take the surface with it, every spring, until somebody fixes the grade and puts a culvert where it belongs.

Water around the house matters too. Drain fields fail from what goes into them and from what runs onto them — years of overloading, age, roots, ground compacted by vehicles parked on top, and roof or surface runoff aimed at the field. Runoff can absolutely be the cause, and of that list it's the easiest one to avoid. Shaping the pad while we're already on site costs almost nothing.

Subdivisions & development

Every service, one site

A subdivision needs roads, water, power and septic all at once — which is every service we run, under one contract instead of four.

  • Site infrastructure and utility runs
  • Roads, grading and drainage
  • Multi-lot septic feasibility and design
  • Commercial buildings, warehouses and storage facilities

Start the soil work early. Ground often varies lot to lot, and what the soil will take can change how you plat the whole thing.
