The dig, the conduit and the sweeps — done once, to depth, so it passes inspection the first time.

Half a mile of trench is a normal Tuesday. So is a service pedestal standing alone in a field with nothing else on the parcel yet.
Worth knowing
Power, water and septic all have to cross the same ground, and they all have separation requirements. When one company plans the whole layout, the trenches share a route where code allows.
When three contractors each solve their own piece, somebody ends up cutting through what's already buried. We've been called out to fix that more than once.
It's also cheaper. Machines mobilised once instead of three times, and one set of restoration at the end instead of three.
